Each student at St. Ignatius School is offered an opportunity to participate in athletics. Starting at age 3, our cardinals learn the fundamentals of soccer and the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship from our dedicated coaches. Our fourth through eighth grade students are given the chance to participate in basketball (boys and girls), volleyball (girls), baseball, football and softball and compete against other Catholic and Christian schools.
Skill development and good sportsmanship are the main focus of our teams no matter the age or sport. While winning does help to provide validation for all of the hard work put on the field and court, the Cardinals athletic program stresses Christian leadership, character development, and teamwork above all else.
Send Message to Athletic Director:
Through the years, the overall objective of 4-H has remained the same: the development of youth as individuals and productive citizens. 4-H serves the youth through a variety of methods, such as: organized club meetings, enrichment programs, camps, activities, and leadership programs on a school and parish level. Students can participate in activities and contest ranging from job interview, shooting sports, animal care, candy making, cooking, astronomy, livestock showing, sewing, photography, and many other topics that interest our youth of today. During the 2015-16 school year we hosted Blessing of the Pets, monthly club meetings, National 4-H Club Week, poster contest, Food Festival, and a Food Drive to benefit the Thenstead Center in Grand Coteau. Join 4-H and learn how to become a more productive citizen by living up to the standards listed in the 4-H Pledge.

The St. Ignatius School Robotics Club is a robotics program for 6th - 8th grade students which is designed to get children excited about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and teach them valuable employment and life skills. Students will build and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology. Throughout the year, students will explore problems that today’s scientists and engineers are trying to solve, develop an innovative solution to that problem, and share their findings with others.
